Gevurah in context at Agitator Gallery, Chicago (8.5x10 feet), 2025

My drawing installations are based on the branching patterns of trees.

Drawn in charcoal on paper, they explore darkness and light—white branches emerging like bones from a watery void or twisting upward with vital force into the sky. Composed of many small drawings assembled into a single large-scale image, they are simultaneously whole and fragmented. Each page builds on the one next to it, but there are always spaces between. My drawings gather in clusters and fray at the edges as land breaks up at its edges into islands or the way societies and knowledge aggregate.
