The Decameron

For ten days in 2013, a community of artists, storytellers, musicians, dancers, and aerialists inhabited the Firehouse at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Inspired by Boccacio's Decameron, we presented ten performances each night, for ten nights. Painted live onsite, during the event, the wall of paintings developed over the ten day period, reflecting the themes, site, and characters at hand.

Paintings were visible inside and outside the building — appearing differently from the two sides and in different light.
